CRAFTED FESTIVAL PULLS THE STRINGS AGAIN, BEDDY RAYS TO HEADLINE

Get ready to be mastered by the craft, the Gold Coast’s favourite frothy celebration, Crafted Beer Festival, is back for its ninth epic edition on Saturday 13 September. And this year it's pouring more excitement, more brews, and more good times than ever before.

After a pre-sale that disappeared faster than a cold one on a summer day, it’s clear early demand is sky high for 2025. It's no surprise really with over 50 breweries, 400+ brews, and an endless stream of festival exclusives and limited releases, it’s a weekend the Gold Coast has come to crave. From rare small-batch sips to crowd-favourite classics, Crafted is once again delivering the most diverse and delicious lineup of beers, ciders, seltzers, and more, all with the sea breeze just metres away.

There’s a fresh energy to this year’s festival, with a wave of first-time brewers, brand new activations, and the launch of Crafted Smokeshow, where things will be smoking, sizzling and seriously competitive. Expect BBQ eating competitions, live cooking demonstrations, and a feast of smoky brisket, slow-roasted meats, spice-packed wings, ribs and burgers from the likes of Flamin’ Grillas, Cychos Buffalo Wings, FG’s Smokehouse, Sticky Addictions and Rosticceria. It’s a sensory overload in all the right ways, served up alongside mouthwatering eats from festival favourites like The Wiener Haus and Smash Burger Society—and yes, the return of beer’s best friend, the humble hot chip.

This year’s brewery lineup sees the return of Gold Coast legends like Balter, Black Hops, Burleigh Brewing, Precinct, Madocke and more, alongside a huge pour of fresh faces making their Crafted debut, from cult-favourite Kaiju! Beer and Bacchus Brewing, to brand-new local standouts like Carbon 6, Tap That Brewery, Perentie, and Roji Cat. Local’s Lane is back too, spotlighting the Gold Coast’s own booming brewing scene and giving fans the chance to sip straight from the neighbourhood.

If you’re more about riffs than sips, Crafted’s music lineup will get your toes tapping and your cup clinking. Indie rockers Beddy Rays will headline a stacked Gold Coast Music local stage, with Le Shiv, FELONY., Thirst Trap, Dropics, Alison, with Beatniks DJs keeping the good times flowing with their pumping vinyl sets all day and into the evening..

It’s not just about beer, either. Local distillery Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery is back with their iconic two-storey cocktail bar, this time putting an even bigger focus on creative cocktails and craft spirits. On the wine front, Carafe Wines returns with award-winning drops on tap and an exciting new addition, Carafe Wine Masterclasses, including a Champagne Masterclass and a Rosé Blending experience led by winemaker Archie Cox.

Mayor Tom Tate says the 2025 edition is another home run for the city’s major events calendar.
“It’s lucky number 9 for the annual Crafted Beer Festival, with this year promising an expanded line-up of music and entertainment,” said Mayor Tate. “The ninth year of this eclectic festival underscores our commitment to presenting the best outdoor events on offer. See you at Kurrawa in September and may the sun be shining and the hand-crafted beers flowing.”

With all this packed into one massive day by the beach, Crafted is once again set to prove why it’s one of Australia’s most-loved independent beer and music festivals. And this year, it's not just about what's in your cup, it's about stepping into a full-sensory experience of great brews, brilliant bands, and beachside vibes.
